He felt himself drifting apart from his characters, all of which he had previously thought to be deep and interesting, only to be one-dimensional in reality. As time went on, he found the story of the original game was rather weak and would cause the series to go downhill dramatically. While only about a week was spent being put into creating the story of the series, Jonathan intended to put forth years of work into this game. The original production of this game began shortly after Riddle Transfer. It was published on Newgrounds on May 25, 2016, the date of Riddle School's 10 year anniversary.
